Dark Twin explores the potential for multiple identities, malevolent doppelgängers and menacing landscapes in solo piano music, through the assistance and interference of electronics, computer interaction and multimedia.
Whether interacting with distorted and warped piano sounds, mimicking the voices of famous thinkers, creating massive walls of sound or grooving within an invisible piano ensemble, the works toy eerily with the concept of a ‘solo’ piano recital.
